Georgia Organics is offering a uniqe workshop: High Tunnel Organic Vegetable Growing, December 16, at the University of Georgia (UGA), which covers organic vegetable production and variety selection, high tunnel production and irrigation setup, soil fertility, disease control, organic certification and more. A second worksop: Social Media in Agriculture, will be held December 17 at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center, to help growers build a social media portfolio tailored to their individual agricultural business needs. The workshop is open to any agricultural producer that has participated in the sale and/or marketing of an enterprise for less than 10 years.

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of tools and tips to manage Facebook, Twitter and other media outlets. Participants may being their own laptop or use those provided to learn hands-on how to develop a strong online presence. Online materials are available at BeyondTheFarmGate.org.
