Natural Awakenings Atlanta

New Spring Classes at Wylde Center

The Wylde Center, an Atlanta nonprofit dedicated to cultivating vibrant green spaces and inspiring communities of environmental stewards, is hosting a number of drop-in programs for children and families throughout the spring and summer.

Kids can enjoy painting large stones for placement in the river and a smaller one to take home from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., March 6. Snack of organic apples and Oakhurst Garden honey will be provided. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Cost is $10 for Wylde members, $15 for non-members.

On March 9, bring a quart jar, knife, cutting board and bowl to participate in an interactive lesson on plant medicine-making with Dara [Last Name?], at Sugar Creek Garden, behind Oakhurst Presbyterian Church. Attendees will learn about the healing power of plants, focusing on a specific plant or plant group harvested at Sugar Creek Garden. Cost is $5 for members, $10 for non-members.
