Atlanta Veg Fest Advocates Benefits of Plant-Based Lifestyle

Atlanta Veg Fest 2016 will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., November 7, in the Cobb County Civic Center, in Marietta. Featured speakers include Michael Greger, M.D., a bestselling author and internationally recognized speaker on nutrition, food safety and public health. David Carter, a former NFL defensive lineman known as “the 300-pound vegan”, is a voice for animals, the planet and a healthy lifestyle.

Bianca Phillips, a vegan blogger, associate editor at the Memphis Flyer and author of Cookin’ Crunk: Eatin’ Vegan in the Dirty South, is dedicated to veganizing soul food and country classics. Certified Nutritionist Sid Garza-Hillman, the author of Eat Vegan on $4 a Day, Kitchen Divided, Paleo Vegan and Approaching the Natural: A Health Manifesto, is the staff nutritionist and programs director at the Stanford Inn’s Mendocino Center for Living Well, in California. Lorena Mucke is a president and founder of the Ethical Choices Program, an international nonprofit humane education program.
