Natural Awakenings Atlanta

Future Foods at the Museum of Design

The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) exhibition Designing the Future of Food will be on display from January 21 through May 7. A growing number of designers, scientists, policymakers, engineers, farmers, grocers, innovators, foodies and healthcare professionals argue that our industrial, global food system is not ecologically, socially or economically sustainable, and are actively working to redesign and revolutionize our food system to be more ecological, equitable and efficient.

Designing the Future of Food surveys a wide range of the innovative ideas being prototyped, tested and implemented in Atlanta and beyond to provide delicious, nutritious food to all. Topics include how we can insure that everyone has nutritious, delicious food; how urban agriculture is transforming cities; how design enables us to learn about the food we eat and make good food choices; how food revolutionaries are re-thinking where we grow and gather our food; how we can produce more food with less environmental impact; and how we might design systems that help to reduce food waste.

Location: 1315 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta. For more information, call 404-979-6455 or visit MuseumOfDesign.org
