DYP to Open Second Location
At 5,656 square feet, this facility is larger than DYP’s first studio, at 431 West Ponce de Leon Ave. It will feature three yoga rooms: one hot, one room for meditation and private sessions, and one room for Pilates equipment.
DYP will also expand its offerings to include aerial yoga and circuit weight training with TRX and traditional weight equipment. DYP had offered circuit weight training before and is doing so again because it’s a good opportunity for students to mix up their routine, said studio founder Debra Kelley. She added that it’s important for older students to increase their strength.
After the second location opens, the original studio will hold family- oriented Saturdays with classes for kids and parents, offering a 30-class family pass that multiple family members can use. It will have no expiration date; nor will the 10-class pass.
In addition to a growing yogi base, Kelley was motivated to open a second studio because her teachers and teachertraining graduates wanted more classes to teach. “We will be hiring additional staff to cover our expanded class roster, and all teachers will be splitting their class numbers between both locations,” she says.
