Try something different this Friday evening - Explore the world hidden in the ancient yoga texts for means for lasting happiness and wellbeing. A different angle for the same old problems that may perplex us. A higher angle of vision to give ourselves a better perspective on our challenges. Build a deeper, more grounded sense of compassion for yourself and those around you. Perhaps the world as we experience it, may change as we change our inner environment. Our pursuit for happiness has us dreaming and working really hard - How do we address the natural hankering of the soul for eternal, uninterrupted happiness in the contemporary world? Connected by so many devices and networks - have you ever felt disconnected in this world? Have you ever wondered how to deal with stress and anxiety in a holistic lasting manner? Have you ever asked yourself why do bad things happen to good people? For all this and more, join us this Friday at 6.30 pm.
What to expect: The evening will start with introductions and brief musical meditation. Every evening has a different themed discussion that starts with a presentation and followed by interactive discussion and questions and answers section. The presentation explores and brings to life the ancient knowledge of yoga texts like Bhagavad Gita and how they apply to our lives. Some quotes are shown in images attached. The discussion is wrapped up with a musical meditation with our kirtan band. We serve vegan dinner or vegan snacks towards the end of the evening and our participants get a chance to dine together and build our own network of spiritually minded friends. About the speaker: Mangal-arti has been studying and teaching the ancient yoga texts for over 20 years. She has been facilitating such discussions at several universities in US and Canada and helped many to apply these yoga practices in their lives. #LetsTalk #Meditation #Food #FoodforThought
