Stair Climbing Marathon in Downtown Atlanta Raises Money for ALA

Supporters of the American Lung Association (ALA) will gather to climb, walk and run 52 stories—104 flights of stairs—at 8 a.m., April 6, at One Ninety One Peachtree Tower, in downtown Atlanta. Hundreds of participants are needed and each must raise at least $100 to meet the fundraising goal of $135,000. Eighty-one cents of every dollar raised goes directly to fight lung disease and support clean air initiatives.

Another way to support healthy lungs is by petitioning Congress about protecting the Clean Air Act. The ALA has a new State of the Air app for smartphones that provides lifesaving updates on local air quality and ways to help the fight for clean air.

Registration costs $25 and begins at 7:30 a.m. For more information or to make a donation, call 770- 434-5864 or visit FightForAirClimbAtlanta.org.
