Wylde Center Puts Focus on Green Family Living

The Wyle Center is offering a course on Seed Saving and Tomato Sharing on August 3, and Gifts from the Garden on August 24. Also new this summer and continuing throughout the year is a new series entitled Simply Delicious, which focuses on using local, fresh produce, with classes led by chefs and Atlanta foodies Jennifer Weissman, Jerilynn Bedingfield and Charli Vogt at the newly renovated kitchens of the Decatur Recreation Center.
Sally Wylde and Louise Jackson founded the Wylde Center in 1996 to teach children to be stewards of the land and the community. The center has grown to include four gardens and offers more than 100 hands-on classes each year on how to live a greener, more sustainable life.
Location: 435 Oakview Rd., Decatur. For more information, call 404-371-1920 or visit WyldeCenter.org.
