Natural Awakenings Atlanta

Some Items Too Hot to Handle

Live Thrive Atlanta’s initiative to establish the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM) needs members, sponsors and volunteers. Imagine what a difference we could make if residents had the opportunity to drop these pesky items off at their convenience?

The permanent facility will accept latex- and oil-based paint, household chemicals, electronics, tires, plastics and clean, dry, empty plastic bags and film packaging, textiles, Styrofoam, mattresses, bulbs, batteries and other hard-to-recycle materials. Visit Look Up Atlanta (lookupatl.org) to help raise the funds needed for this campaign, which will run through Earth Day 2014, April 23.
