Botanical Garden Hosts Beekeeping Course

Metro Atlanta Beekeepers will offer a short course on beekeeping at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., January 18, in the Day Hall, with follow-up courses offering hands-on hive visits during the spring and summer months.

The short course introduces newcomers to beekeeping and teaches everything they need to know to get started in urban beekeeping. Classes are led by UGA experts, professional and hobbyist beekeepers. The course includes morning coffee, a catered lunch and an afternoon snack. Also included is a copy of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Beekeeping and admission to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, with free parking.
