Creative Workshops at Museum of Design Atlanta

Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) is offering a variety of hands-on design classes and workshops for children and adults that allow participants the opportunity to take part in creative design projects. Intended for people of all ages and levels, these workshops focus on a variety of types of design, including animation, 3-D design and printing, Minecraft, LEGO robotics, circuitry and more, while providing experience with the design process and conveying MODA’s guiding principle, “Design changes everything.” February classes for kids ages 8 to 15 include Multimedia Coding for Kids, where kids can create their own interactive stories, animated adventures, creative comics and games while learning drag-and-drop programming with Scratch. Also in February is 3-D Printing, where kids can take their gaming skills to the next level as they design buildings that can be realized on 3-D printers. These classes also feature lessons on lighthouses and the technology that makes them work, basic architectural forms, principles of engineering and basic circuitry functions.

Location: 1315 Peachtree St. For a full list of classes, dates and cost, visit MuseumofDesign.org.
