ChantLanta Sacred Music Festival Supports The Learning Tea

The sixth annual ChantLanta Sacred Music Festival will take place March 6, 7 and 8, at Druid Hills Baptist Church. This interfaith event, which features chanting, music, and sacred sound experiences, is a charity benefit in support of The Learning Tea.

ChantLanta 2015 features music by Sufi rockers HuDost, from Nashville, kirtan chanting with Blue Spirit Wheel, DrumRise, Phil McWilliams, Sat Purkh Kaur Khalsa, Chaitanya, Kasha Kirtanwallas, Atma Sangeet and others. Throughout the weekend, there will be yoga classes and many different sacred sound experiences, along with activities for kids, a vendor market/silent auction and delicious local cuisine from food trucks.

The Learning Tea provides life scholarships to impoverished young women in India. They pay for university tuition and living expenses for young scholars while providing a safe and stable dormitory living environment.

Admission is free. Location: 1085 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta. For more information, visit ChantLanta.org.
