Brownwood Bike Rally Classic

web-nb_brownwood-rally_east-atlanta-kidsThe East Atlanta Kids Club will hold the 11th annual Brownwood Bike Rally on September 12 at Brownwood Park, in East Atlanta, for a great day of bike racing and other fun festival activities.

Celebrating cycling, fitness and health for kids and adults, this year’s festival includes street bike races and a bike safety rodeo for kids, cyclocross races for adults, a health fair, a food court and a festival area featuring family-friendly activities. Prizes are awarded for all races and proceeds benefit the nonprofit Kids Club, an after-school tutoring and mentoring program for promising youth. Kids can also participate in a Bike Safety Rodeo comprised of 10 stations that teach and test bike agility skills and safe cycling knowledge on the tennis court from 10 a.m. to noon.

Parental permission for bike races and the bike rodeo is required. Parents may preregister children online via Active.com until 5 pm on September 11 or via paper registration forms at Brownwood Recreation Center right up to the event day.

Admission is free for all. Races are free for children, $10 to $20 for adults. To register (required for races), call 404-627-8050, or visit EastAtlantaKids.org.
