Halloween Hikes at the Hooch

The Chattahoochee Nature Center will begin hosting Halloween Hikes, a family tradition for 31 years, from 7 to 10 p.m., October 21, 22, 28 and 29. Kids that come in costume receive a special treat.

Those searching for a unique Halloween adventure can take a child on a well-lit hike through the forest to meet woodland creatures and hear about their lives. It’s the perfect, non-scary alternative to traditional Halloween events. Each group of 20 to 25 people will have a guide lead them safely on a lighted trail and meet nature-costumed characters, including everyone’s favorites, the box turtle and the water drop. There are also fun, Halloween-themed crafts, face painting and lively musical entertainment.

Location: 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell. For complete details and tickets, call 770-992-2055, ext. 236, or visit Tinyurl.com/HoochHalloweenHikes.
