Natural Awakenings Atlanta

Hypnobirthing Class at Atlanta Birth Center

Hypnobirthing is a birthing method developed  in the 1980s by Marie Mongan, based on the premise that when women are fearful of birth, their muscles tense up and labor grinds to a halt. To combat this fear-tension-pain syndrome, this method teaches women how to relax during labor and align with the body’s inner strength and intuitive birthing knowledge.

By letting go of the muscles that don’t need to be working, the uterus gets maximum energy and each surge can come fully. This amazing program teaches a mother and her birthing companion the art and joy of experiencing birth in a more comfortable manner.

Through the use of positive visualization, repetition and practice, babies can be born in a calm and serene manner. Expectant women that are drawn to the mind-body-baby connections may want to take this concept one step further and sign up for this wonderful childbirth education class, taught in five, two-hour group sessions.
