Free Kirtan Music Festival Charity Fundraiser

Kirtan music will rock the Druid Hills Baptist Church during the weekend of March 10 through 12 at the ChantLanta Sacred Music Festival to raise money for deserving charities. The festival features three parallel tracks on Saturday, culminating with evening performances by Bob Sima, Blue Spirit Wheel, Phil McWilliams and many other notable performers.

This year, proceeds from the festival will benefit the nonprofit Global Growers Network, based in Avondale Estates, and the refugee community of Clarkston.

Kirtan is a call-and-response musical form that originated centuries ago in India. The Sanskrit word kirtan comes from bhakti yoga, “the yoga of devotion”, and translates as sharing or belonging.

Admission is free, donations are accepted. Location: 1085 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE. For more information, visit
