Naturopath Opens Office in Marietta

Dr. Ronak Patel, a doctor of naturopathy, recently opened his practice in Marietta. Called Southeast Integrative Medicine, the new practice shares offices with Patel’s cousin, Dr. Amrish Patel, at 3939 Roswell Road, Suite 240.

“Safety is a big concern with my patients,” says Patel, who opened his doors May 1. “Many of them come to me because I can make them feel better without drugs.”

Patel’s areas of specialty are gastroenterology, endocrinology and rheumatology. He often treats conditions such as chronic gas, fatigue, brain fog and Lyme disease.

He characterizes his approach to care as complementary as opposed to alternative. This is largely because his undergraduate degree is in pharmaceutical science; Patel is comfortable in combining pharmaceutical and nutraceutical solutions for his patients.

What Patel enjoys most about his practice is tailoring treatments to each patient. He likes taking time to truly know and understand each and every patient so that what he recommends and prescribes has a high probability of success.

Patel earned his doctor of naturopathy from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, where he also received the Daphne Blayden Outstanding Student Award for his “commitment to naturopathic medicine, academic excellence, compassion, perseverance, a loving sense of humor and a positive, supportive outlook.”
