EFT Tapping Classes Offered in Decatur
EFT tapping is a simple technique that combines several powerful therapies— including acupressure, somatic activation, amygdala and prefrontal cortex rewiring, cognitive restructuring, memory consolidation and eye-movement reprocessing, among others— to reduce emotional distress, PTSD and physical pain. The classes will focus on provider self-care, pain management and money disorders.
EFT regulates the nervous system using the same energy meridians as traditional acupuncture. In one study of its effectiveness, cortisol levels declined between 24 percent and 49 percent in all participants. In a randomized controlled trial on veterans with PTSD, six sessions of EFT Tapping resolved PTSD in 86 percent of the participants. EFT also increases serotonin.
The workshop will be led by Jondi Whitis, EFT master trainer and advanced EFT practitioner, and Melissa Lester Olson, LCSW, advanced EFT practitioner. The class offers six CEU credits, approved by the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Workers, per day. Participants can register for one or more days; a discount is available if registering for all three days. For more information, contact Olson at 770-313-7768 or visit MelissaLesterOlson.com.
