The fourth annual Veggie Connection, a “vegetarian/vegan network event,” will be held August 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Smyrna Community Center in Smyrna. The family-friendly event will bring together vendors of specialty foods, eco-friendly products, cruelty-free fashion, newly published books and creative artworks from all over Georgia.

Participants will be able to sample vegetarian and vegan foods, learn from expert chefs as they give cooking demonstrations, and hear from a variety of speakers.

The Veggie Connection strives to build awareness about the plant-based lifestyle and help make it an accessible, enjoyable and sustainable way of life, according to its press release. The company also holds events in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and is in the process of adding other states to its calendar.

The first 300 attendees at the Smyrna event will get a free 2018 “Veggie Wow Bag” containing vegetarian/vegan-friendly products, coupons and more.
