Music and Raffle for BMW Headline Evening to Support Recycling

Live Thrive Atlanta will hold its annual fundraiser to support the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials from 6:30 to 10 p.m. October 4. CHaRM is an Atlanta facility that has kept more than 75,000 tons of paints, chemicals, electronics, glass and tires from area water systems and landfills. It is Atlanta’s only permanent drop-off facility for materials that are too harmful or bulky for the curb.

Titled “A CHaRM’ing Evening,” the event will feature a performance by Yacht Rock Revue and the opportunity to win a 2018 BMW i3 donated by Global Imports BMW. Food, wine and Sierra Nevada beer will be on hand. Funds raised help pay for the organization’s waste-processing fees and environmental-education programs, and the costs of expansion and operating equipment.

Up to 1,000 raffle tickets will be sold for the BMW i3. Raffle tickets cost $100 each; to purchase tickets visit www.CharmBMW.org. Attendance at A CHaRM’ing Evening is not required to win.

Live Thrive Atlanta, a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization, has received numerous awards including the 2018 Southface Fulcrum Award, the 2016 Georgia Recycling Coalitions Spirit of Green Award, the 2015 TrueBlue award/grant from Georgia Natural Gas and Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation’s 2015 Waste Reduction Award.

A CHaRM’ing Evening will be held at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, 980 Briarcliff Road NE. Tickets are $35 before September 3, $45 before September 21 and $55 through October 4. Admission includes access to the Yacht Rock performance, “heavy” hors d’oeuvres and two drink tickets.
