Sri Karunamayi, known worldwide as “Amma,” will lead two programs at the SRIM Center in Forsyth.

The first, the Rudram Meditation Retreat, from May 9 to 13, will offer people the opportunity to meditate in the presence of Amma, described by the SRIM Center as a spiritually transformative experience.

The second program, the Sri Chandi Saptashati Homa including Ati Rudram, will run from May 15 to 19 from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The SRIM Center describes the five-day program as the “ultimate offering to the Divine Mother and Lord Shiva known to humanity.” Everyone is welcome; details are on the SRIM Center website.

Revered by many around the world as an embodiment of the Divine Mother, Amma has dedicated her life to a global peace mission and universal welfare. Residing in Nellore, India, she has been touring the world since 1995, offering yearly public programs, giving teachings and blessings, holding meditation retreats and performing sacred fire ceremonies for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Since the SRIM Center’s inauguration in 2007, it has offered devotees and attendees a means to have a personal connection with Amma and to either witness or participate in ancient Vedic ceremonies.

The cost of the Rudram Meditation Retreat is based on the number of days attending: $504 for all five days, $324 for three days and $216 for two days.
