Buddhist Art and Symbolism: Urban Temple Tour, Art Talk and Meditation

For more than two thousand years, Buddhist practitioners around the globe have relied on statues, art and symbols as representations of an Enlightened Being’s body, speech and mind. For this reason, they are often referred to as objects of enlightenment. These holy images are meant to inspire the mind and offer refuge in difficult times.

Join this unique urban temple tour guided by KMC Georgia Resident Teacher and American Buddhist nun, Kelsang Dechok. She will discuss the meaning behind these sacred statues, art and symbols and offer ways in which we can incorporate their beauty into our daily life. The tour will be followed by a short guided meditation and time for question and answer.

You may also browse our bookstore and ask questions about meditation and Modern Buddhism.

Everyone is welcome to join! This is FREE event.
