After 20 years as owner of Peachtree Yoga Center, Graham Fowler has a new boss and a new title.

Ilona Moore, Fowler’s student and a Peachtree Yoga teacher, became the new owner July 1.

“Graham has graciously decided that I should carry on the tradition of Peachtree Yoga,” says Moore, RYT-500, who has been with Peachtree since 2015. “I am very humbled and honored by his decision and feel the tremendous responsibility of continuing in the spirit of yoga that Graham has established and sustained.”

Responding to student requests, Moore is adding an early morning class and shortening the lunchtime class to an hour. She plans to revitalize a schedule of workshops and retreats.

“My coming into ownership seems to be the pinnacle,” says Moore. “Every job I’ve had was to teach me something in my journey; every step bringing me closer to myself, to finding the place from which I can share with others.”

Fowler will continue to be fully involved with Peachtree Yoga in his new position as Spiritual Director. He sees meditation as the way to grow more deeply with yoga practice. He taught a generic form of meditation, but now will teach Anubhava meditation; Anubhava refers to that which is known only through personal experience. He will be able to spend significant one-on-one time with students.
