Allow the Miracles

Mar 30, 2019 02:00AM ● By Lucretia Robison
A tiny frog died on my finger. It was not the life-altering event I expected when I signed up for a breath-empowerment instructor’s class in Daytona Beach, Florida, a few years ago. But Hurricane Matthew had other ideas.

One hour into the four-day class, emergency sirens went off and we were told to seek a safer location. So I took off for Orlando, which I was told was the safest place in Florida. I was fortunate enough to have met a couple who were graciously willing to share their room with me in exchange for driving them there.

I was disappointed about missing the class, but my spirit knew more than my brain did. I knew that something was about to happen that would be for my benefit. “Allow the miracles,” the voice said to me. Okay, I would try.

Twenty-four hours later, I found myself in a pool at a luxurious hotel in Orlando. Life could be worse, right? Then I came upon a tiny frog floating motionless in the water. I scooped him up to get him out of the pool and as I looked for a place to deposit him, I felt his muscles tense. He had moved. I put him on my finger and he held on, just watching me. He turned from pale yellow to green with spots. It seemed like he smiled at me. I felt love beams coming from him. I got out of the pool and sat on the warm, sun-kissed pavement. I tried to put him down, but I felt his tiny finger pads grip me tighter. We sat there in silence. Then I talked to him.

I asked if he was all right and told him everything was going to be okay. I asked him where he lived. I know it sounds silly, but my mothering instinct doesn’t care. We all deserve love.

After a few minutes of me communicating and him listening intently, I fell silent. Then I began to feel energy vibrations from his body into my finger. They didn’t extend far—not quite as far as my wrist—but they were exceptionally powerful, like those I have felt only from energy masters with decades of experience. This little frog was giving me pure, divine energy. It lasted for a couple of minutes and I felt like I was witnessing a miracle. It felt like he was recovering and thanking me for saving him.

When the vibrations stopped, he closed his eyes. I hoped he was napping. He still had a smile on his tiny face. I sat for a minute and stared at him, wondering what just happened. I touched him, but he didn’t move; his body was lifeless once again. He had given me all his remaining life force before he passed away. I put him in a nearby bush and got back in the pool.

Having been a massage therapist for 14 years, my fingers had been tired and sore for two weeks and my knuckles had been achy. Since pain comes and goes, I hardly ever thought about it because I knew it would eventually pass. In the meantime, I would normally need copious amounts of therapeutic bath products, anti-inflammatory foods and some good deep bodywork to purge it. But since my experience with the frog, the soreness in the fingers of my left hand disappeared. My left hand felt warmer and more supple than my right. Did I seriously get healed by a froggie?

I wish you miracles. May the froggie’s force be with you.
