What is the Southern Dharma Celebration? The Southern Dharma Celebration is an annual event of spiritual practitioners in the Southeast United States. Everyone is welcome!
This year, the Celebration is hosted by Kadampa Meditation Center North Carolina and is available in person. Click on the REGISTRATION tab for details.
Who is Je Tsongkhapa? Je Tsongkhapa, whose ordained name was Losang Dragpa, was a great 14th century Tibetan Buddhist Master who promoted and developed the Kadampa Buddhism that Atisha had introduced three centuries earlier.
Who will teach at the Southern Dharma Celebration? This year, Kadam Morten Clausen, the New Kadampa Tradition Eastern U.S. National Spiritual Director, will be the main teacher for the Celebration. Teaching the Friday night introduction is Gen Norbu and the morning meditations will be led by Gen Kelsang Norden.
Note: The celebration takes place Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning.
